Finance Ministry: Russia budget surplus at 2.5% of GDP in Jan–Jul
MOSCOW, Aug 13 (PRIME) -- The surplus of Russia’s budget amounted to 1.383 trillion rubles, or 2.5% of gross domestic product (GDP), in January–July, the Finance Ministry said in a statement on Monday.
The ministry has raised its January–June surplus forecast to 2% of GDP from a preliminary estimate of 1.9%. In July, the surplus was at 5%, or at 435.561 billion rubles.
In January–July, budget revenue stood at 10.498 trillion rubles while spending amounted to 9.115 trillion rubles.
In 2018, the surplus of the budget is expected at 0.5% of GDP.
